This recipe was found on a handwritten scrap of paper amongst other recipes given to us by Ruth REDDEN RUSHBY. We almost couldn’t decipher the name of the dish until we realized it was more a description than a name. It is what it says it is: “good soup.”
1 lb ground sausage
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 cans Ro-tel tomatoes
1 can black-eyed peas
1 15-oz can V-8 juice
Sauté sausage, green pepper and onion. Add tomatoes, black-eyed peas and V-8 juice. Simmer.
